What's the longest anyone had to wait to vote today? I had a 40 minute wait, but after seeing a few of the polling places on my way to work, I see that I got off light

I went at 6am sharp when the polls opened and the line was wrapped around the outside of the church. However, it moved quickly and I was in and out in 30 minutes.

I know the sentimentality can be grating for some, but honestly the question of "can we have a black president" has been one of those milestone questions that I didn't think would be answered in the affirmative this soon. |

He isn't out of the woods yet. There are 4 pending lawsuits challenging his Natural Born citizenship, along with questions about dual citizenship including Indonesia.
I'd hate for him to be the first Black president elected then summarily kicked out of office on a technicality.
I also think it's funny that they talk about this finally ending 200 years of racial oppression and tension, when in fact it's just getting started.
I'd dig up the link but I'm a bit tired, but it has to do with some black woman being fired and escorted out of her workplace all while yelling "Better watch out whitey, Obama is in the house" to paraphrase a little.
We will see.

There are lawsuits to stop the LHC at CERN from creating blackholes that will devour Earth. Lawsuits can be filed by anyone and are not a good barometer for the veracity of those claims. Besides, I'm sure a nutjob or two would file suit regarding McCain's place of birth. That, too, would be without merit, IMO
