Steve Ewing / Lojic Review 9/16

Went to see Steve and Logic last night, both put on a great show. Zack Hexum opened up, he was pretty good but was more of a mellow sound compared to Steve's band and Logic.

Attached is Steve's setlist. As you can see he played a couple familiar favorites. The crowd (50-75 people close to the stage) was into Steve the most out of all the bands. I tell ya -- the guys in his band can really play. There were both bass and guitar solo's that brought me back to the old days of steve's "other band". Tremendously impressed, will go see him again when he comes around.

Logic suprisingly closed the show, I thought that Steve would. Guess since they're the "local/known" band they would finish the night. Went on stage around 1-130am and played till about 230. One thing that caught me off guard was that they now only had 4 people in their band, the guy that did the scratching was gone. Maybe i'm just not up to speed with them, though. Some of their new songs were great -- there was one called "eminent domain" that really rocked. Can't way to hear that song again. Crowd was a little light for their set, it was late at night -- not sure if that was the reason. Only about 20-25 people up close to the stage.
